On Manufacturing Day 2019, GS3 opened its doors to students and educators from Franklin Middle School (Wayne, Michigan) and Stevenson Middle School (Westland, Michigan).

Students learned about several of GS3’s in-house and partner company capabilities, including assembly, warehousing, efficient supply chain management, quality control, design and manufacturing.

Through GS3’s shared programming events, students were even able to learn about how a particular part is made from a former Manufacturing Day participant who is now an employee.

“Launched annually on the first Friday in October with events that continue throughout the month, MFG Day helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders. MFG Day empowers manufacturers to come together to address their collective challenges so they can help their communities and future generations thrive.”
