GS3 Global CEO Lisa Lunsford has been named the 2016 recipient of the Top 10 Michigan Business Women Rainmaker Award, given by the National Association of Women Business Owners Greater Detroit Chapter (NAWBO GDC). The Rainmaker Award is given to “a woman business owner who has demonstrated significant financial growth in her business.”
Lunsford founded GS3 in 2010, and under her leadership, the manufacturing and engineering company has generated more than $30 million in revenue over the last two years. GS3 is a Tier One supplier to major automotive original equipment manufacturers, and also specializes in providing engineering as a service, working directly with clients to engineer, manufacture, assemble, package and ship solutions that exceed expectations.
Founded in 1975 in Washington, DC and establishing its first regional chapters in 1978, NAWBO is a nationwide organization that advocates for the interests of women entrepreneurs in all types of businesses. Through its 60 chapters in the US and its affiliation with the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs, NAWBO supports women business leaders’ growth and development. The NAWBO Greater Detroit Chapter has served female entrepreneurs in Southeast Michigan since 1980.
