GS3 Global and CEO Lisa Lunsford are featured in the fifth anniversary edition of DRIVEN: A Tribute to Multicultural Achievement in the Auto Industry, officially unveiled at a ceremony at the Garden Theater in Detroit on January 14, 2015.
Produced by Who’s Who Publishing Company and Real Times Media, and partially sponsored by GS3 Global, DRIVEN highlights the accomplishments of multicultural leaders in the automotive sphere. Combining interviews and in-depth features with executives from automakers and automotive suppliers, DRIVEN is a gorgeously-presented anthology of achievements in the resurgent auto industry in Detroit.
Under the leadership of CEO and co-founder Lisa Lunsford, GS3 Global has experienced phenomenal growth, despite being founded during challenging economic times. Recognized as an industry innovator in supply chain management, global freight management, assembly, sequencing and manufacturing, GS3 now boasts more than $20 million in annual sales.
“DRIVEN is the premier publication recognizing multicultural history and leadership in the auto industry. We were honored to be included in this year’s edition and were pleased to join our friends for the ceremony,” said Lisa Lunsford of GS3 Global. “The rich history of minority contributions to automotive design and manufacturing is an important story that needs to be told and I’m proud that our company is a part of it.”
In 2014, GS3 Global received a Minority Supplier of the Year Award from the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC). Now recognized as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) displaying impressive growth and leadership, GS3 Global is continuing its success, with exciting news to come in the year ahead.
This year’s ceremony featured an appearance from Frank Venegas, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Ideal Group; Alicia Boler-Davis, Senior Vice President for Global Quality and Customer Experience for General Motors; and Hau Thai-Tang, Group Vice President for Global Purchasing for Ford Motor Company, as well as music from hip-hop pioneer MC LYTE.
